Korea-content isn’t just a story—it’s a place.

All of Us Are Dead: The Ultimate Filming Location Guide (2026)

If you thought high school was a nightmare of exams and unrequited crushes, All of Us Are Dead (지금 우리 학교는) took that trauma and added a generous helping of the flesh-eating undead. This 2022 Netflix sensation didn’t just break the internet; it redefined the zombie genre by trapping us inside the claustrophobic corridors of Hyosan High. Unlike your typical zombie flick where adults save the day, here, the kids—armed with nothing but mop handles and their own survival instincts—stole the show.

The series follows a group of students at Hyosan High School who find themselves at ground zero of a viral outbreak. With no rescue in sight and their classmates turning into monsters, they must navigate a landscape of loss and loyalty. While the fictional city of Hyosan might be a place of terror, the real-world filming locations are scattered across some of South Korea’s most fascinating regions, from the traditional heritage of Andong to the futuristic skyline of Songdo. Grab your survival kit (and a fully charged T-money card), because we’re going on a cross-country trek to find where the “Jonas Virus” first took hold.

Original Title: 지금 우리 학교는 (All of Us Are Dead)
Cast: Park Ji-hu, Yoon Chan-young, Cho Yi-hyun, Lomon, Yoo In-soo
Director: Lee Jae-kyoo
Network: Netflix
Episodes: 12

The Journey: Episode-by-Episode Locations

1. Seonghui Girls’ High School (성희여자고등학교)

  • Scene: Episode 1 – The eerie calm before the outbreak. The series opens with sweeping exterior shots of Hyosan High School as students arrive for their classes, blissfully unaware of the biological disaster about to strike.
  • GoogleMap Address: San102-1 Jeongha-dong, Andong-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do
  • NaverMap Address: San102-1 Jeongha-dong, Andong-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do

This is the physical anchor of the show—the real-world face of the doomed Hyosan High. While the blood-soaked hallways and the iconic cafeteria were actually filmed on a massive custom-built soundstage in Yangju, the red-brick facade of Seonghui Girls’ High School is what gives the school its identity. The traditional architecture grounds the series in a recognizable reality, making the subsequent descent into bloody chaos all the more jarring.

If you’re planning a visit to Andong, known for its deep roots in Confucian tradition, seeing this school is a must for any “half-bie” (half-zombie) fan. However, keep in mind that this is a functioning school! You can’t exactly wander into the teachers’ lounge looking for snacks (or safety), as access is restricted to staff and students. You’ll have to settle for a selfie by the brick walls that the characters eventually had to scale for their lives. To get here, head to Andong and hop on a bus to the Andong Gangnam Elementary School stop. It’s a bit of a trek from Seoul, but for the true Hyosan survivor, it’s holy ground.

2. Keimyung University Dongsan Hospital (계명대학교 동산병원)

  • Scene: Episode 1 – The infection spreads beyond the school gates. The very first infected student, Lee Hyeon-ju, is rushed to this emergency room, causing the virus to leak into the general public.
  • GoogleMap Address: 1035 Dalgubeol-daero, Dalseo-gu, Daegu
  • NaverMap Address: 1035 Dalgubeol-daero, Dalseo-gu, Daegu

This location marks the critical point of containment failure. It represents the terrifying moment when the tragedy of a single school becomes a full-scale regional disaster. In the show, the sterile white hallways and harsh lighting heighten the medical horror, making you feel the panic as the medical staff realizes they are dealing with something far worse than a standard fever.

Known as a landmark in Daegu, Keimyung University Dongsan Hospital is actually a favorite spot for K-drama scouts. It’s ultra-modern and conveniently located near Seomun Market Station on Daegu Metro Line 3. While the hospital is “Open” 24/7 for emergencies, please be respectful—don’t go reenacting zombie growls in the consultation wings! It’s a functioning medical facility, so keep your visit focused on the impressive exterior and the main lobby areas. It’s a great stop if you’re exploring Daegu’s vibrant food scene and want to pay respects to the place where the city’s “fall” began.

3. Songdo Convensia Road (송도컨벤시아 인근 도로)

  • Scene: Episodes 2-3 – The viral wave hits the city. Modern life is ground to a halt as cars collide and the infected swarm through the streets of Songdo.
  • GoogleMap Address: 123 Central-ro, Yeonsu-gu, Incheon
  • NaverMap Address: 123 Central-ro, Yeonsu-gu, Incheon

Incheon’s Songdo district is often called the “City of the Future,” which makes it the perfect metaphorical setting for the collapse of civilization. The high-tech, ultra-modern aesthetic of the wide boulevards highlights the fragility of human progress in the face of a primal virus. Seeing the sleek glass towers of the Songdo Convensia surrounded by the chaos of a zombie stampede was one of the show’s most visually striking moments.

In reality, filming this scene was a logistical nightmare involving hundreds of zombie extras and stunt drivers. Today, the area is much more peaceful—perfect for a stroll or a bike ride. You can reach this spot easily via Incheon National University Station (Line 1). It’s a fantastic place for photography, even without the CGI smoke and burning cars. After you’ve snapped your “escape from Hyosan” shots, you can relax at the nearby Songdo Central Park, which is much safer, we promise.

4. Paju Fire Station (파주소방서)

  • Scene: Episode 2 – The first responders’ nightmare. Nam So-ju (On-jo’s father) and his team receive frantic calls and witness the city beginning to burn from their dispatch center.
  • GoogleMap Address: 1564 Tongil-ro, Paju-eup, Paju-si, Gyeonggi-do
  • NaverMap Address: 1564 Tongil-ro, Paju-eup, Paju-si, Gyeonggi-do

While the kids are fighting for their lives in the school, the adults are facing their own hell on the outside. The Paju Fire Station serves as the base for Nam So-ju, the ultimate “Dad of the Year” candidate. This location establishes the parallel struggle of those trying to maintain order while a father’s desperate drive to reach his daughter takes center stage.

The production used a real, functioning fire station to maintain that gritty sense of realism. If you visit, you’ll recognize the bays where the emergency vehicles were dispatched. Since it’s a working station, you can’t go inside for a tour, but it’s a poignant stop if you’re in the Paju area visiting the DMZ or the Heyri Art Village. It’s accessible from Munsan Station, followed by a local bus ride. It stands as a symbol of the hope and duty that the characters clung to throughout the series.

5. Suwon Paldalmun Market Alleys (수원 팔달문시장 골목)

  • Scene: Episode 3 – The hunt in the shadows. The villainous Gwi-nam navigates these labyrinthine commercial alleys, stalking his prey in the urban sprawl.
  • GoogleMap Address: 7-10 Paldalmun-ro, Paldal-gu, Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do
  • NaverMap Address: 7-10 Paldalmun-ro, Paldal-gu, Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do

If you have a fear of narrow spaces, these alleys will definitely trigger it. In the show, they turn a vibrant shopping experience into a terrifying game of hide-and-seek. Gwi-nam’s predatory nature is on full display here as he moves through the shadows of the market, proving that sometimes the living are more dangerous than the dead.

These alleys are part of Suwon’s famous Paldalmun Market, a must-visit for foodies. During filming, “zombie” actors often had to hide behind market stalls between takes to avoid scaring the actual shoppers! Today, you can explore the market without fear (though the spicy street food might give you a different kind of “kick”). It’s easily accessible from Suwon Station. Pro tip: Visit the nearby Hwaseong Fortress afterward for some world-class historical sightseeing that’s a bit less stressful than a zombie chase.

6. Bucheon Wonmi Police Station (부천원미경찰서)

  • Scene: Episode 3 – The fall of law and order. Detective Song Jae-ik realizes the police force can no longer protect the city as the station is besieged by the infected.
  • GoogleMap Address: 84 Jomaru-ro 311beon-gil, Wonmi-gu, Bucheon-si, Gyeonggi-do
  • NaverMap Address: 84 Jomaru-ro 311beon-gil, Wonmi-gu, Bucheon-si, Gyeonggi-do

If the fire station represents the hope of rescue, the police station represents the collapse of authority. Its fall is a turning point in the series, signaling to the survivors (and the audience) that the rules of the old world no longer apply. The entrance and lobby of the real Bucheon Wonmi Police Station were used to give these scenes a documentary-like authenticity.

Located near Sinjung-dong Station (Line 7), this is a spot for the completionist fans. It’s a standard government building, so there isn’t much to “see” inside, but standing outside the gates gives you a chilling reminder of the scene where the detectives realized they were truly on their own. Bucheon itself is a great hub for culture and animation, so it makes for a nice urban detour.

7. Hwaseong Sports Complex (화성종합경기타운)

  • Scene: Episodes 6-12 – The military quarantine zone. Survivors are gathered here in massive tent cities under the watchful eyes of the army.
  • GoogleMap Address: 470 Hyangnam-ro, Hyangnam-eup, Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi-do
  • NaverMap Address: 470 Hyangnam-ro, Hyangnam-eup, Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi-do

The Hwaseong Sports Complex was transformed into a place of “safety” that felt more like a prison. The vast concrete underbelly and parking lots were filled with military-style tents to create the sprawling look of the refugee camp. It captures the dehumanizing nature of mass quarantine and the scale of the national crisis.

This is a massive facility that opened in 2011. While you won’t find any military blockades or quarantine tents there today, the scale of the architecture is still impressive. It’s located in the Hyangnam area of Hwaseong. Without a car, it’s best reached by express buses (like the 8155) from Seoul. It’s a sobering location that reminds fans of the “new normal” the characters had to face after the outbreak.

8. Yanggeun Bridge (양근대교)

  • Scene: Episode 8 – The blockade. The point where the isolation of Hyosan is made absolute, physically cutting off the survivors from the rest of the country.
  • GoogleMap Address: Yanggeun-ri, Yangpyeong-eup, Yangpyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do
  • NaverMap Address: Yanggeun-ri, Yangpyeong-eup, Yangpyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do

This bridge over the Han River is a powerful symbol of the “threshold” between life and death. In the show, the military blockade here makes the students realize the world has turned its back on them. The long, lonely stretch of the bridge mirrors the emotional isolation of the group as they watch their hometown burn from a distance.

As an industrial bridge infrastructure, it’s not exactly a park where you can have a picnic, but it is a scenic drive if you are heading into the Yangpyeong countryside. It’s technically “Not Visitable” for pedestrians in the way a park would be, but you can see it clearly from the riverside roads. It’s a hauntingly beautiful spot that captures the “end of the road” feeling of the series’ middle acts.

9. Seohuri Forest (서후리숲)

  • Scene: Episode 12 – The final trek. After the destruction of Hyosan, the remaining students walk through this quiet, beautiful forest toward an uncertain future.
  • GoogleMap Address: 200 Geobukbawi 1-gil, Seojong-myeon, Yangpyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do
  • NaverMap Address: 200 Geobukbawi 1-gil, Seojong-myeon, Yangpyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do

After eleven episodes of blood, ash, and concrete, the serene beauty of Seohuri Forest provides a much-needed breath of fresh air. The birch and pine trees stand in stark contrast to the trauma the survivors have just endured. It’s here that they share their final moments of reflection before reaching the safety (or isolation) of the camps.

This forest is a celebrity in its own right—it was famously the site of a BTS photoshoot! It’s a private forest, so there is an entry fee (around ₩7,000), but it is absolutely worth it for the healing vibes. Note that it is Seasonal and usually closes from December to February. It’s a bit remote, so a taxi from Yangpyeong is your best bet. It’s the perfect place to sit in silence and process the emotional rollercoaster that is All of Us Are Dead.

10. Pocheon Art Valley (포천아트밸리)

  • Scene: Episode 12 – The rocky ruins. The survivors gaze back at the smoldering remains of their hometown from high, craggy cliffs.
  • GoogleMap Address: 234 Artvalley-ro, Sinbuk-myeon, Pocheon-si, Gyeonggi-do
  • NaverMap Address: 234 Artvalley-ro, Sinbuk-myeon, Pocheon-si, Gyeonggi-do

The rugged, scarred landscape of this former granite quarry perfectly mirrors the internal state of the characters—permanently changed and fractured by what they have witnessed. The dramatic vertical cliffs and the emerald-green water of Cheonjuho Lake make for a stunning, yet somber, backdrop for the series’ finale.

Pocheon Art Valley is one of initial Gyeonggi-do’s most successful urban regeneration projects. It’s a “must-visit” regardless of the drama connection. You can take a monorail up to the cliffs and enjoy the views that Nam-ra and the survivors saw (minus the CGI smoke). It’s open year-round with varying hours. To get here, take a bus from Uijeongbu Station. It’s a fitting end to our journey—a place of beauty born from a scarred landscape.

Travel Tips for Fans

Planning your own zombie-themed pilgrimage? Here’s the “survival guide” for your trip:

  • The Magic Ticket (T-money): Don’t even think about traveling without a T-money card. You can buy and top them up at any convenience store. It works for subways, buses, and even taxis in every region we mentioned.
  • Map It Out: Forget Google Maps—it often struggles with walking directions in Korea. Download Kakao Map or NAVER Map for 100% accuracy, including bus arrival times and exit numbers.
  • Best Season: While the drama feels very “dark,” these locations are best visited in Autumn (October-November) when the foliage is stunning, or Late Spring (May-June). Avoid July and August unless you want to feel like a melting zombie in the humidity!
  • School Manners: Remember, Seonghui Girls’ High is a place of learning. Stay outside the gates and be quiet!
